Date: Fall 2009
Reflection:

Throughout PED 182 Health Related Fitness I performed assessments in order to measure my physical fitness. The five areas of fitness are cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. The results of the fitness test show that I have achieved a health enhancing level of physical fitness. Along with the assessment is a fitness plan which I have created. Being able to develop a fitness plan shows that I have the knowledge to maintain a health enhancing level of fitness throughout my life. This standard is important to my development as a physical educator because as a teacher it is important to be a role model. Maintaining fitness is something that we as physical educators must stress to our students. Being able to create fitness plans will allow me to effectively teach students how to achieve and maintain a health enhancing level of physical fitness.
